(Reuters) -A U.S. appeals courtroom on Wednesday upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit by a conservative group against range initiatives in drugs that challenged a Pfizer (NYSE:) fellowship program designed to spice up the pipeline of Black, Latino and Native American folks in management positions on the drugmaker.
The New York-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court docket of Appeals dominated the Virginia-based non-profit group Do No Hurt lacked standing to problem the drugmaker’s program, saying “it didn’t establish by title a single member injured by Pfizer’s alleged discrimination.”
Pfizer in a press release welcomed the ruling, saying it was an “equal alternative employer and is pleased with its dedication to range, fairness and inclusion.”
