(Reuters) – UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:) stated on Friday it had agreed to promote its operations in Brazil to a personal investor and can file a cost of about $7 billion associated to the sale.
Final week, Reuters reported that UnitedHealth had agreed to promote its Brazilian unit Amil to businessman Jose Seripieri Filho, the founder and former chief government of medical insurance agency Qualicorp.
Seripieri’s bid is round 2.5 billion reais ($515.24 million), in response to a Reuters supply.
UnitedHealth didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark about particulars of the deal.
